Sometimes during meditation, I feel as though my breathing has stopped completely. What does this mean ?

Positive Negative

This is another experience of slipping into the gap. When we go beyond thought, we also go beyond breath. When we slip into the gap, thoughts stop, but also our breathing stops.

This is something you experience just after it has happened. You have the thought “Oh, I am not breathing,” but then, of course, you start breathing quite rapidly. But for that moment while you were in the gap, thoughts stopped, time stopped and your breath stopped.
